Reminder for Deans & Directors: Complete Your 2022 NLN Survey Now
Last fall, the NLN sent deans and directors the 2022 NLN Annual Survey of Schools of Nursing, which combined the NLN Biennial Schools of Nursing Survey and the NLN Faculty Census Survey to provide more robust data on an annual basis. Policymakers, planners, government agencies, regulators, and others use NLN workforce data as they prepare legislation, approve budgets, and formulate long-range educational goals. Your school’s assistance is vital to our ability to share the highest quality information with these important stakeholders.

Watch a New Video about Dr. Bernardine Mays Lacey: Leading the Way
The premiere of “Dr. Bernardine Mays Lacey: Leading the Way” focuses on the impact of one of nursing’s outstanding educator, mentor, political advocate, and public health/psychiatric mental health pioneers. Dr. Lacey, an American Academy of Nursing’s Living Legend, has had her contributions recognized by those whose professional careers and personal lives she has touched, including NLN President and CEO Dr. Beverly Malone. IPEC Virtual Institute Early Bird Ends January 31; Award Deadline February 2
IPEC will hold its next Institute virtually on May 23-25, returning to the popular theme of building interprofessional education for collaborative practice (IPECP). Participants will engage with national leaders in acquiring the building blocks for IPECP. Institute attendees will spend significant time planning, building, designing, assessing, and acting on their IPECP goals and projects, as well as communicating effectively about IPECP. Additionally, IPEC is accepting applications for the Excellence in Interprofessional Education Collaboration Award, which is an opportunity to showcase multidisciplinary efforts to impact community health. The award is presented to a team of health professional school-based collaborators (faculty, administrators, and/or students) who have innovatively addressed a public health issue while making a lasting impact on the community’s health. Faculty’s Experience Providing Nursing Student Support: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis
Research Participant Request: The purpose of this study is to better understand faculty’s experiences providing nursing student support. For a registered nurse; and nursing faculty member whose primary job includes >50% educating undergraduate nursing students within the classroom setting; and primary job is teaching at a four-year institution; and primary job is teaching undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students; and having worked primarily as a classroom nurse educator for a minimum of two years; and does not have release time from instruction specific to an advising role.
