U.S. Department of Labor Announces Funding to Diversify Nursing Workforce & Address Shortage
To help address challenges to developing a skilled health care workforce, the U.S. Department of Labor recently announced an $80 million funding opportunity through the Nursing Expansion Grant Program to support nursing training programs designed to expand the pipeline of nursing professionals while advancing equity and creating pathways for workers to fill jobs. These H-1B Skills Training Grants emphasize training people from historically marginalized and underrepresented populations. Learn More

New Opportunity from the Nurses on Boards Coalition
For those with an interest in serving on a corporate board, nurses may now register in the Diligent Director Network and the Equilar Diversity Network databases. As a prerequisite to registering, only those who have prior and/or current board experience with any type of organization may register. Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Educators’ Perceptions of Teaching Dissociative Disorders
Research Participant Recruitment: The purpose of this study is to learn about nurse educators who teach psychiatric-mental health nursing and their perceptions of teaching dissociative disorders. For adjunct, part-time, or full-time nurse educators who are currently teaching psychiatric-mental health nursing in any accredited nursing program in the U.S. at any level, i.e. diploma, associate, baccalaureate, graduate, etc. Primary investigator is Briana Snyder, PhD, RN, PMH-BC, CNE, Towson University. Learn More
