Five nurse educators, nominated by colleagues and students for their impact and inspiration, have been named winners of the NLN Nurse Educator of the Year Award. Drs. Linda Flynn, Jessica Ochs, Tammy Spencer, Aluem Tark, and Cheryl Taylor will be formally recognized in a special Year of the Nurse Educator presentation at the NLN Education Summit. Drs. Marilyn Oermann and Suzie Kardong-Edgren’s studies have proven that certification in basic life support is not enough - students need continued CPR skills practice to retain skills and be practice-ready. Teaching Gun Violence Prevention in Undergraduate Nursing Programs: Nurse Faculty Behaviors, Beliefs & Experiences
Research Participant Recruitment: The purpose of this study is to examine US undergraduate nursing faculty behaviors, beliefs, and experiences regarding the provision of gun violence prevention in nursing curriculum. For undergraduate full-time school of nursing faculty who have taught in their current nursing program for at least one full academic year in the US.
