Legally Defensible Practice as an Academic Nurse Educator
3-Part Series  |  July 21, July 28 & Aug. 4
Nursing students are increasingly filing lawsuits against their college or academic program. Now, more than ever, academic nurse educators must be not only competent in their field, but also aware of the legal issues surrounding their health care practice, and their role as an academic nurse educator.

Join the NLN for this three-part series that examines various aspects of legal aspects relevant for today’s academic nurse educator.
  • Part 1 will examine the common legal issues encountered within the role of the academic nurse educator and the legal framework that provides the basis for those issues.
  • Part 2 will analyze best practices to avoid legal issues with student evaluation, both theory and clinical, as well as faculty/student malpractice.
  • Part 3 will examine relevant legal issues with eLearning and distance learning methodologies. Learn the most frequent risk areas for academic nurse educators and strategies that can be used to decrease your risk of legal liability.
Hurry! Early bird rate ends tomorrow, July 7.
