NLN Updates Fair Testing Guidelines for Nursing Education
New! The NLN has released an updated version of the Fair Testing Guidelines for Nursing Education that were developed by the NLN Presidential Task Force on High-Stakes Testing. These guidelines are based on the NLN's core values of caring, integrity, diversity, and excellence, and on widely accepted testing principles. The NLN Fair Testing Guidelines for Nursing Education value students’ perspectives and backgrounds, and acknowledge the role of faculty in their implementation.

Research activities advance the NLN's goal of taking the "lead in the conduct of research that informs and promotes evidence-based teaching, advances the science of nursing education, and provides and interprets data about nursing education and the nurse educator workforce." An Investigation of Pre-licensure Registered Nursing Faculty Attitudes Toward Older Persons
Research Participant Recruitment: This research aims to analyze a national sample of pre-licensure nursing faculty attitudes toward older persons for faculty who teach in the classroom and/or clinical setting, full-time or part-time, in pre-licensure registered nursing programs, located in the U.S. Primary investigator is Maria Mackey, Doctoral Candidate, Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Learn More

COVID-19 Changes Nursing Education
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted life in the United States, including nursing education, but nursing programs adjusted to shutdowns and the loss of clinical sites to continue to educate the next generation of nurses. New COVID-19 Vaccine Education Resources Now Available
Developed with leading health organizations and Dr. Anthony Fauci, new educational content from the Ad Council and COVID Collaborative is designed to help health care providers better understand and answer common questions about COVID-19 vaccination. The video series was developed by the medical and health community for the medical and health community and features physicians and nurses addressing the efficacy and safety of the new vaccines to help inspire better understanding and confidence. Watch Now

Take the CDC-VDH Infection Prevention and Control Training Survey
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) are collaborating on Project Firstline, an initiative to provide innovative and effective infection prevention and control training for all front line health care workers. The VDH is asking all front line health care workers to participate in a 10-minute survey designed to inform future CDC training materials and guide VDH training sessions. Take the Survey
