Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy

Scottsdale, Arizona, Digestive Health Specialists

We are actively hiring a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to protocols for equipment, infection control, and injury prevention
  • Operate and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and instruments
  • Administer medications accurately using the 8 rights of medication administration
  • Monitor patients under moderate sedation and anesthesia care
  • Maintain aseptic technique and support tissue perfusion and system stability
  • Handle specimens per facility policy and ensure proper documentation
  • Educate patients and support persons on post-procedure care, pain management, and recovery expectations
  • Advocate for patient rights, dignity, and privacy throughout the care continuum
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide accurate and timely hand-off reports and documentation
  • Comply with all facility policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license in the state of Arizona
  • Minimum one year of experience in GI, OR, or medical/surgical nursing preferred
  • Current RN license in good standing with the state of Arizona
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is part of the facility’s scope (or current certification)
  • Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred

USD $28.61/Hr. USD $40.00/Hr.
